The proposed work consists of but is not limited to the replacement of existing twelve-inch (12”) and sixteen-inch (16”) diameter water main segments within the established franchise area with no planned increase in the Authority’s existing water allocation permit. Replacement of these water mains will utilize horizontal directional drilling (HDD) techniques in order to harden the existing distribution system with minimal impact to the physical environment. The work is located within the streets rights-of-way of various streets beside the Forge Pond section of the Metedeconk River in Brick Township including Metedeconk River Crossings at Hooper Avenue #1 (Beaverson Boulevard and Tunes Brook Drive), Hooper Avenue #3 (Manor Drive and Mantoloking Road), Hooper Avenue #5 (Sailors Quay Drive and Lighthouse Court), Herbertsville Road (Godfrey Lake Drive and Wilson Court), and Midstreams Road.
